Stuart Valentine

Financial Advisor
Co-Founder of Centered Wealth

Stuart Valentine has played an active role in the Green Private Placement sector of the Socially Responsible Investing (SRI) industry since 2000. As co-founder of Centered Wealth, Stuart is passionate about building the personal relationships and networks necessary to create meaningful, systemic change in the world of finance today.

In September 2010, Stuart served on the Drafting Committee on Transforming Finance–an initiative to recognize finance as a global commons. He currently serves on the Research Advisory Board for Ethical Markets in the area of Social Venture Capital.

Having written a series of articles on Socially Responsible Investing and its relationship to the Hero’s Journey, Stuart is often invited to speak to describe the conscious investment process and the changes taking place within the global green economy. He is constantly seeking opportunities to connect a community of forward-thinking investors directly to investment opportunities in the growing green economy.

Outside of his professional life, Stuart is an active member in his community. He is Co-Director of the Sustainable Living Coalition (SLC), adjunct faculty in the Maharishi University of Management (MUM) sustainable business department and served on the planning commission for the city-wide “Fairfield Go-Green Strategic Plan 2020.” Stuart founded Centerpoint Investment Strategies in 2012, developing the Centered Wealth system for investors. After working together as colleagues for many years, in 2017 he joined forces with Jina Penn-Tracy co-founding Centered Wealth, offering wealth management with conscious purpose. Stuart is a registered representative of Vanderbilt Financial Group, an independent broker/dealer with a focus on impact investing.

Jina Penn-Tracy

Financial Advisor
Co-Founder of Centered Wealth

Jina’s business career began with building an import company from the ground up. After selling the business in her thirties, she recognized a void in the financial services world for advisors who understood the complexity and sometimes cyclical nature of financial planning around small business income.  She set out to become such an advisor.

On the personal front, after winning a battle with cancer in her early twenties, she also became acutely aware of issues of chemical contamination and the fragile interconnectedness of individual health and the health of our planet. She wrote extensively for local media on topics of consumer action, environmental contamination and the impact of personal choices on the world.

Socially Responsible Investing (as it was known then) was an interest of Jina’s as an investor beginning in the mid-90’s. Sustainable, Responsible and Impact Investing became a growing interest for Jina as she developed her financial planning practice. Much like consumer advocacy, investment choices can strongly impact corporate decision-making. When investors collectively demand to be heard, the changes made across the globe can be remarkable.

After working as a square peg in the traditional financial services arena for many years, Jina founded Raeheart Financial in 2007, dedicated to offering comprehensive financial planning services with a focus on Sustainable, Responsible and Impact Investing. After working together as colleagues for many years, in 2017 Jina joined forces with Stuart Valentine co-founding Centered Wealth, offering wealth management with conscious purpose. Jina is a registered representative of Vanderbilt Financial Group, an independent broker/dealer with a focus on impact investing.
